This is a preview of a new series of images I have been working on. I plan to print these as large as possible. I first discovered photographs of smoke on
David Nightingale’s, c h r o m a s i a photoblog. Then I took it to the next level
This image was made by first photographing smoke in front of a black background.
After I have edited down hundreds of images, I dig into photoshop…
(1st) I Adjust the brightness and color values… (2nd) Duplicate the layer multiple times. (3rd) Flip the layers horizontally and vertically. (4th) Combine the layers without loosing detail in the highlights by using the “darken” blend mode..
